The Student Affairs Division of the Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University, Sri Lanka is responsible for welfare of all enrolled students at Trincomalee Campus. It functions closely with all other administrative and academic departments in order to assist the students to peacefully complete their degree program and achieve their goals. It aims to provide facilities for smooth setting of the studentship period of enrolled students to develop their intellectual capacity.

We will enroll the students to the campus in the mid of June for each academic year after receiving the registered students list from the University Grants Commission. Since, we communicate through student’s emails all selected students are requested to check your emails which you have registered at UGC, frequently to know about the enrollment, orientation and other information from Trincomalee Campus.

All students who enroll after one month from the commencement of academic program will be accommodated with next academic year with their concern to be differed from the original academic year.

Trincomalee Campus has following five hostel building complexes for male and female students.

Since, the Trincomalee Campus has limited accommodation facilities the Council of the Eastern University, Sri Lanka at its 329^th Meeting held on 26.11.2022 has decided to provide accommodation to the first year and final year students in order to manage hostel issues, accordingly, all second year students must be find their outside boarding and administration will decide the selection of students based on the availability of rooms and conditions of students.

The Trincomalee Campus has two main cafeteria namely Common Canteen and Green Canteen and the contract are issued annually through following the general procurement procedures. And from the mid of year 2023 the Green Canteen was extended to Hostel Building premises to facilitate the students who are staying at hostels.

Trincomalee Campus has a Health Center which functions with a visiting Medical Officer and a Nursing Assistant. Staff and Students can access the health center on free of charge. Doctor Visiting Time – From 2.00 p.m. 4.00 pm (Per day two hours)

Students Affairs Division is responsible for all scholarship such as Mahapola, Bursary and other scholarship and any students can communicate with the division for the information regarding their scholarship. And all the Mahapola scholarship applications will be received on the time registration at UGC and All the Bursary applications will be received on the time of enrollment at the campus.

Trincomalee Campus students organize several cultural programmes in faculty level. As a student’s welfare division, we are facilitating the logistic support such as providing recreational rooms and auditorium and other available equipment for their recreational activities with support of the cultural coordinator and approval of the rector.

Students Affairs Department convenes the disciplinary procedure on student’s inquiry on the matter of ragging and other conflicts in order ensure the smooth environment of the student’s community at the Campus over following the common guideline and procedure on student’s discipline.

Since, Trincomalee Campus has three faculties namely Faculty of Communication and Business Studies, Faculty of Applied Science and newly established Faculty of Siddha Medicine, we have three faculty students unions for each three faculties. All the registered students who are not involved any misconduct are eligible to be an office bearers and to vote on the student’s union election. And equal opportunity on Gender and Ethnicity is highly expected among students during the union elections.
