The Centre for Gender Equity and Equality & SGBV, University Grants Commission, and the Gender Equity and Equality Cell of Trincomalee Campus organized a training session titled “Learning to Live with Diversity.” This session was held on October 22, 2024, at Trincomalee Campus, specifically for first-year students from the Faculty of Communication and Business Studies, Faculty of Applied Science, and Faculty of Siddha Medicine.
A total of 300 students participated in the event.

Prof. Hemamalie Gunatilaka: Former Director, CGEE, UGC; Professor in Business Administration, Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
Prof. Prabha Manuratne: Director, CGEE, UGC; Professor, Department of English, University of Kelaniya.
In addition, 12 academics and administrative staff members served as trainers to guide and support the students throughout the training session.
